We have released new MPP binary packages with latest Mailshell engine, latest Sophos updates, Clam 0.90.1 components and a major fix for Mac OS Intel users of Communigate Pro. They are in the ususal locations.

Avoiding Dead DNS Blacklists

Came across and excellent link that gives the status of RBL sites.  Using RBL’s to fight spam is absolutely crucial, but using the right ones is even more important.  Personally, I only use zen.spamhaus.org, but there are many.  It is a major mistake to use spamcop for rejection criteria in my opinion.

New MPP Service Provider Case Study - Amtelecom

qReview Update

As of March 14th we have completed an optimization project of  qreview to enhance performance and scalability.  This optimization results in much better performance during login, message display and searching and greatly improves performance oduring simultaneous read/write transactions.  It is recommended that all qreview customers upgrade to this release.  Please contact support@messagepartners.com for the download location.

Important Fix for Mac OS X Intel Users

We have fixed a critical bug for CGP users on the Mac OS X Intel platform. The bug leads to crashes and these messages in the logs:

[19:25:52] 8 [07bdec00] [MsgLoadJob] Loaded message file size 1024b.
[19:25:52] 2 [07bdec00] [MsgLoadJob] Message file size 219874b. is
different!

If you have seen random crashes accompanied by these error messages please update to these binaries.

Download them, bunzip2 the package, then stop mppd and tar -xvf the package in /usr/local/MPP
